Time Technoplast to set up operations in China

Time Technoplast, engaged in the manufacture and sale of technology-based polymer products today said that it is going to set up its manufacturing operations in Tianjin region in China which is the third largest city and a major port.  It has inked an agreement with locak Chinese government earlier this week for necessary land for the project on long lease basis. The company shall manufacture intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and packaging has envisages total investment outlay of up to USD 10 mn (approximately) in the first phase of the project. Under the proposed plan for the said project, the company hopes to commence the operations in first quarter of the next financial year

World Bank cuts China’s 2009 growth forecast to 6.5 percent

Beijing, March 18 (Xinhua) The World Bank (WB) has cut its forecast for China’s 2009 economic growth yet again, this time to 6.5 percent from 7.5 percent, it said here Wednesday.
